I visit Singapore when I am traveling for one of my dive trips to Indonesia. Singapore is a small country (735.6 km2) and I usually explore it on foot, once I have travelled from the Airport to the city center via Taxi.
My go to hotel when I am staying in Singapore is the Pan Pacific Hotel. It is in a great location, close to everything, and reasonably priced for the quality of room and service I receive. I do not book the meals with the room because the Pan Pacific is near a shopping center and there are numerous places to grab a quick bite before heading out into the city.
Singapore is set up to cater to tourists – many restaurants, multiple light shows at night, and shopping centers with air conditioning for relief from the heat. Here are a few highlights from my visit to Singapore:
- The Garden Rhapsody light show presented in the Gardens by the Bay.
- A Food and Night Tour – I had a chance to sample some incredible hawker dishes.
- The Singapore Airport – there is a butterfly garden and a water vortex.
